The iteration forms the second in the brand’s limited edition series of annual cask strength bottlings. This year’s whiskey has been aged for 13 years and spent the whole maturation period in casks that have previously held Port.

Available in the off-premise channel in Ireland and neighbouring Northern Ireland, Roe & Co Cask Strength 2020 Edition follows last year’s Bourbon-aged expression. Details of bottle quantities were not disclosed.

Diageo commenced production at the Roe & Co distillery last year. The production site is within the group’s Guinness brewery in Dublin. At the time, Diageo said the distillery was the 27th in operation in Ireland.
