Heineken’s appointment of an outsider as CEO has raised eyebrows but, with the brewing behemoth undergoing some significant changes in a challenging market, the move has also been welcomed in investment circles.
France approves further wine stock destruction as consumption wanes
The initial EU fund of €160m ($172m) has been topped by France’s Ministry of Agriculture to €200m. Paris estimates 4.4m hectoliters of wine will be destroyed.
