According to Symington, the absence of ageing maximises concentration and flavour.

According to the company, No. 12 takes its name from the hour of midnight – the time that the grapes used in the bottling are picked.

Details on availability and pricing for the iteration were not immediately available.

“We believe that ruby Port is a very versatile category that has not yet been fully explored,” said Graham’s brand manager, Vicky Symington. “We are confident that Blend No. 12 will also resonate with people who don’t typically drink Port, be it as a … straight serve or mixed in a long serve.”

The new expression is the latest in the Graham’s ‘Blend’ series,  following the 2019 release of Graham’s Blend No. 5 white Port.

Last month, Symington Family Brands released a canned RTD Port & Tonic for its Cockburn’s brand.
