The UK arm of Kirin subsidiary Lion has unveiled a ‘cloudy lemonade’ IPA from its Magic Rock Brewing Co brand in the country.

The 6% abv IPA, Lemondayz, is available from the brewer’s online store and via Waitrose stores nationally. The naturally hazy beer has been produced at Magic Rock’s brewing facility in Huddersfield and is vegan friendly.

The iteration will sit alongside core range beers such as High Wire and Cannonball and limited-edition specials including Clairvoyance and Freezing Point in the Magic Rock range.

Magic Rock – which is part of Kirin’s Lion Little World Beverages UK division – is currently subject to a business review in the context of “difficult trading conditions” in the UK and recent craft acquisitions by the brewery elsewhere.

Lion acquired the Huddersfield-based brewer in March 2019, shortly after the purchase of London-based Fourpure Brewing Co in July 2018.
