In March, Singapore-based craft brewer Brewerk introduced a raspberry sour beer into its portfolio. So far, so normal. But, this fruity number, a 4.5%-abv sessionable brew called Red Billion, has a twist – the addition of around 1bn live bacteria in every serving. The brewer claims that the beer – made in collaboration with food-tech start-up Probicient – can help to enhance the consumer’s gut health and boost their immune system.
