Notably, cybersecurity was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q2 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of low cost evolution and digital banking, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the consumer industry, Compagnie Financiere Richemont had the greatest increase in references for cybersecurity in Q2 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 19 cybersecurity-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.8% of all sentences - and an increase of 46% in Q2 2023 compared with Q2 2022. Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group’s mentions of cybersecurity rose by 18% to 13 and Ambev’s by 22% to 11 and Brown-Forman’s by 9% to 10 and EssilorLuxottica’s by 11% to 10.
