Anheuser-Busch InBev has added a sour hard seltzer range to its Natural Light line-up.

Natural Light Sour Seltzer comes in four flavours and is 6% abv. The launch is a limited release and will be available across the US.

“As a brand that prides itself on standing out in the crowd, Natty Sour Seltzer is sure to make a splash in the world of seltzer,” said Daniel Blake, VP of US value brands at Anheuser-Busch.

The extension further grows A-B InBev’s hard seltzer portfolio, which also includes Bud Light Seltzer and Bon & Viv’s. Natural Light Seltzer was unveiled towards the end of 2019 and has since been augmented by the 8% Natty Daddy and Natty Daddy Lemonade.

The new sour flavours – Rind & Dined Watermelon, No Capple Green Apple, Razzle Dazzle Blue Raspberry and Slice for What Lemon – are the latest examples of hard seltzer brand owners looking to differentiate their products as competition in the category increases. Heineken this year launched a “ranch water” seltzer in the US, based on the southern US Tequila-based cocktail of the same name. Last month, US-based Loki released a cannabis seltzer that contains a small amount of THC.
