Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits is to distribute Libby non-alcoholic wines in the US.
In a statement, Trinchero, which markets non-alc wines under its own brands Fre and Seaglass, said Libby "emerged as a high-growth brand in the non-alcohol set". It did not disclose supporting data.
A Trinchero spokesperson said Libby is a “complementary addition which helps complete a clear price ladder, allowing us to deliver value to buyers no matter what price point they are targeting, from entry through premium".
The brand’s range is focused on de-alcoholised sparkling rosé and white blends, with a suggested retail price of $15.99.
Libby was established by winemaker Grant Hemingway and drinks entrepreneur John Green.
“Partnering with Trinchero gives us the scale and expertise to take Libby to the national stage while continuing to elevate what consumers expect from non-alcoholic wine,” Hemingway said in the statement.
Libby wines are already available at US retailers including HEB, Sprouts Farmers Market, Trader Joe’s and Fresh Thyme.
The Trinchero spokesperson said Libby products are set to enter Kroger and Safeway in the coming weeks.
They added: "Right now we’re focused on expanding distribution, supporting strong shelf execution, and driving trial to build repeat purchase.
"Over the next 18 months, our focus is on expanding distribution, driving strong shelf execution, and building trial that converts to repeat purchase.”
The spokesperson said adding Libby to Trinchero's own pair of non-alc wine brands "allow us to lead the category across multiple consumer occasions, price points, and brand equities".
They added: "Libby differs in that it is a strategic distribution partnership rather than an owned asset. That approach allows us to selectively support high-quality, emerging brands while reinforcing our role as a category builder and market leader."
