Supplements and active nutrition business Bloom Nutrition has made its first international retail move with a launch into Walmart stores in Canada.

The company’s Greens & Superfoods Powder is now available in more than 300 Walmart stores across the country as of yesterday (15 October).

“This Canadian rollout cements Bloom's place as a leading voice in modern wellness,” the group said in a statement.

Mari Llewellyn, co-founder of California-based Bloom Nutrition, said: “Our community in Canada has been asking to find Bloom in stores for a long time, and we're so excited to finally make it happen.

“Bringing our Greens & Superfoods Powder to Walmart stores in Canada means we get to share the product that started it all - and help even more people bloom into their best selves.”

The powder will be available in three flavours - strawberry kiwi, mango and berry - and will be stocked in Walmart locations across Canada and listed online.

Bloom Nutrition's Greens & Superfoods Powder contains more than 30 ingredients, including organic superfoods, prebiotics and probiotics.

The company said the blend is intended to support gut health, reduce bloating and increase energy.

Its powders are also dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, sugar-free, keto-friendly and plant-based.

Joel Contartese, director of international marketing at Bloom Nutrition, said: “Our Greens & Superfoods Powder has been a cornerstone of Bloom's growth and retail success. Expanding into Canada represents an important step in bringing our modern approach to wellness to new markets and strengthening Bloom's presence on a global scale.”

Last month, US energy-drinks company Nutrabolt made another investment in Bloom Nutrition, following on from its initial backing of the company in January 2024.

Doss Cunningham, Nutrabolt’s CEO, did not reveal the size of the stake at the time but said the group had now invested more than $200m in total.

Nutrabolt’s first investment in the business in 2024 was $90m for around a 20% stake in Bloom.

In July, Bloom Nutrition added to Bloom Pop, a range of prebiotic sodas, to its range. The company launched an energy-drinks line, Bloom Sparkling Energy, last year.
