USA: Celebrating National Iced Tea Month in June
It was the summer of 1904, and temperatures at the World's Fair in St. Louis soared. Sales of hot tea in the Far East Tea House were non-existent, until a young Englishman named Richard Blechynden -- in an act of desperation -- poured tea into glasses with ice cubes. Iced tea was born, and it quickly became the fair's favorite beverage.
