The US soft drinks group, Dr Pepper/Seven Up Inc., part of the UK-based sweets and soft drinks group, Cadbury Schweppes, is to collaborate with the online market, eBay, in a promotion aimed at boosting customer loyalty for the company’s soft drinks brands.

Through the “Liquid Loot” scheme, purchasers of Dr Pepper/Seven Up brands will receive a special code which can be redeemed for points online. Customers can then deposit the points in a Liquid Loot account and use them when bidding for Dr Pepper/Seven Up merchandise and entertainment-related items in eBay auctions.

The programme, the financial details of which have not been disclosed, is due to begin in June.
