Unilever and PepsiCo have announced appointments to the board of their joint venture Pepsi Lipton International.
Representing PepsiCo International as board directors are chief marketing officer beverages, PepsiCo International, Antonio Lucio; chief financial officer PepsiCo International, Richard Goodman and president Asia PepsiCo International, Ron McEachern.
Representing Unilever as board directors are BG president global RTD beverage group, Unilever Bestfoods, Rachid M Rachid; senior vice president beverage, Unilever Bestfoods, Sanjay Khosla; operations director global RTD beverage group, Unilever Bestfoods, David F Jones.
The companies said the management advisory committee of the JV will be made up of: Albert Baladi, who has been assigned to supervise the general management of the JV. Mark Lollback, foods director UBF Australia, who has been assigned to supervise the marketing activities of the JV. Marcel Lebon, VP finance Unilever foods division, who has been assigned to supervise the financial management of the JV.
The joint venture Pepsi Lipton International is a 50-50% JV between Unilever and PepsiCo International for the marketing and distribution of Lipton RTD Tea in selected international markets.

“The joint venture will leverage the strengths of both parents to create significant value. It will principally sell RTD tea concentrate to franchise bottlers, thus augmenting Pepsi’s portfolio of healthy refreshment beverages. As the world’s largest tea producer, Unilever will bring the brand, world-class knowledge of tea and its research and development capability to the JV; Pepsi will contribute access to its extensive bottling and distribution network with strong customer relations, and beverage know-how,” a statement said.
