The ad, in which young people hide their beers when the police arrive at a party to complain about the noise, has been running for about a year. The National Liquor Law Enforcement Association contended that people would only hide their beers from the police if they were below the legal drinking age. It first asked Boston to drop the ad back in May, branding it “corporate irresponsibility”.
