Anheuser-Busch has revealed its future plans for Michelob Ultra, its low carbohydrate beer. The drink, which helped boost sales volume in the high-end beer category by 7.2% in 2003, will be available in 12 ounce cans from January next year.


Anheuser-Busch is also increasing its marketing push for Michelob Ultra. Next year the brand will take over from Michelob Light as the “official beer of golf.” Michelob Ultra will also become the title sponsor of an LPGA event and sponsor European golfer Sergio Garcia.
