The UK’s largest regional brewer Wolverhampton & Dudley (W&D) has reported that it expects to meet half-year results in line with expectations after satisfactory trading.

The brewer said it had seen increased margins compared to last year.

Meanwhile W&D’s managed Pathfinder Pubs have seen like-for-like sales up 3.1% in the 25 weeks to March 22 compared with the same period last year. In the Union Pub Company, like-for-like sales across the tenanted estate were ahead of last year and the second quarter saw an improving trend.
