The company, which produces the Glenmorangie, Glen Moray and Ardbeg brands, said that all three brands were showing solid growth in their main markets while the company’s strategic alliance with the Brown-Forman group was also proving beneficial. In April 2001, the company entered a distribution joint venture with Drambuie which Glenmorangie said had also had a positive impact on the year’s results.
UK: Turnover and profit up at Glenmorangie
Scotch whisky producer, Glenmorangie, posted turnover of £58.7m for the year to the end of March 2002, up 12.4% from the 2001 figure of £52.2m. Pre-tax profit rose by 12.8% from £7.35m to £8.29m. Operating profit rose by 4.5% to £10.35m.
