The UK retailer Tesco is reported to be trying to persuade the Real Madrid football star David Beckham to launch a range of his own wine for its stores.

According to a report in today’s Mirror newspaper, the supermarket group hopes Beckham will team up with one of its Rioja suppliers.
The plan is to have the wine in store for next year’s European Championships.
