The Hong Kong version of San Miguel Brewery’s namesake lager brand has undergone a facelift in the UK.

Shepherd Neame, which brews Sun Lik beer under licence in the country, confirmed late last week that the brand will benefit from a revamped font, bottle and website.

The main change is that bottles will now be made of brown glass rather than green, to allow better stand-out on supermarket shelves and bars, Shepherd Neame said.

The Sun Lik website includes a guide to Chinese regional cuisine and “useful Chinese phrases”.

Sun Lik, which is Cantonese for San Miguel, is available in the UK on draught in 30-litre (53 pints) and 50-litre (88 pints) kegs or in cases of 24 330ml bottles.
