Iain Napier, CEO of Bass Brewers is likely to receive a £1m (US$1.4m) pay-off after resigning from the former brewing arm of Bass Plc with immediate effect on Tuesday. Napier who played a critical role in Interbrew's ill-fated efforts to win regulatory clearance for its Bass Brewers acquisition, said his resignation was a personal choice and added: "I rather enjoy running businesses rather than playing with regulators and corporate financiers."
