The UK-based wine and spirits company Allied Domecq is to extend the product range of some of its spirits brands into foods.


The company has commissioned Parmalat UK to produce a range of branded desserts for both consumer and trade markets. Brokered by brand extension specialists, The Licensing Company (TLC), the deal adds to Allied Domecq’s growing food and beverage extension programme.
 
The foods will include Mailbu tropical trifle, Tia Maria tiramisu and both individual and family sized versions of Harveys Bristol Cream trifles. The desserts will be co-branded with Loseley, the UK dairy brand of Parmalat.


There will also be launches for Cheesecake with Courvoisier VS Cognac; Lemon and Beefeater gin Mousse; Lamb’s Navy Rum & Raisin Truffle Dessert and Rich Coconut Mousse with MALIBU.


Ali Kittermaster, consumer product director at Allied Domecq said: “Our relationship with Parmalat provides us with a great opportunity to develop quality branded dessert products to engage with our consumers outside the traditional spirit arena.
