The world’s second largest wine and spirits group Allied Domecq has appointed Alison Levett, formerly of Campbell Soup, as managing director for its UK division, Allied Domecq Spirits & Wines (UK) (ADUK).
Levett joined ADUK on the 6th January 2003 from the Campbell Soup Company where she was managing director of the UK operation. She succeeds Chris Heath at ADUK who was recently appointed managing director of the Group’s Spanish business.
During her three-year tenure as MD at Campbells, Levett played a principle role in the group’s acquisition and successful integration of a major business from Unilever. Levett also held the posts of commercial director and marketing director whilst at Campbells.
Prior to this, Levett worked in senior marketing roles in brand led organisations including Reckitt and Colman where she was responsible for Colman’s mustard and sauces, and Robinsons soft drinks.
Commenting on the appointment Neil Everitt, president of Allied Domecq Europe, said: “I am delighted to welcome Alison Levett to Allied Domecq. Her strong experience in brand marketing and clear leadership skills will greatly enhance our well performing UK operation. Alison brings with her experience of building teams and brands which will be valuable in driving continuing success”.
