According to a Turkish News Digest report, the Turkish brewery, Turk Tuborg, recorded a net profit of TL4.1 trillion (US$2.3m/€2.2m) in 2002, compared with a net loss of TL13.9 trillion (US$7.9m/€7.4m) in 2001.

Operating profit was reported to have reached TL3.6 trillion (US$2.0m/€1.9m) compared with an operating loss of TL5.4 trillion (US$3.1m/€2.9m) in 2001.

Sales at Turk Tuborg, which is majority-owned by the Danish brewer, Carlsberg, rose from TL56.1 trillion (US$31.8m/€26.8m) to TL104.7 trillion (US$59.4m/€55.6m). Exports rose from TL3.5 trillion (US$2.0m/€1.9m) to TL4.8 trillion (US$2.7m/€2.5m).
