The Boston Beer Co has expanded its Truly hard seltzer line again, this time with a range of margarita cocktail flavours.

The four flavours comprise Classic Lime, Strawberry Hibiscus, Watermelon Cucumber and Mango Chili and roll out in the US from this month. Each flavour is made with lime juice concentrate, agave nectar and sea salt, and contains 110 calories per can.

“With the Truly Margarita styles, we wanted to marry everything drinkers love about hard seltzer with the flavours of a classic margarita,” said Boston Beer’s director of product development, Casey O’Neill. “The margarita is such a beloved, iconic cocktail and we’re excited to bring it to life in a fun, new way.”

Truly is a major growth engine for Boston Beer, which has been battling challenges to its flagship beer brand, Samuel Adams. To make the most of Truly’s position as the second-biggest US hard seltzer by value and volume – after Mark Anthony Brands’ White Claw – the company has released a range of extensions including Truly Punch and Truly Lemonade.
