It has been reported that two mineral waters from Italy and France have failed Thai Public Health Ministry tests because they contained too much lead.

Samples of the Italian and French brands, the identity of which has not yet been revealed, were found to contain more than 0.01 milligram of lead per litre.

The identity of the two brands is unlikely to remain secret for long as Public Health Minister, Sudarat Keyuraphan, said that the products would be withdrawn from sale and legal action taken against the importers.
