According to data published by the Swiss Association of Mineral Water Bottling Companies and Soft Drinks Producers (SMS), mineral water consumption rose by 2.2% in 2002 to 785.9m litres, from 768.9m litres in 2001.
However, the association reported that per capita mineral water consumption fell by 1.9% to 104 litres in 2002 from 106 litres in 2001.
