The Swedish brewing group, Kopparbergs Bryggeri, has reported a pre-tax profit of SKr2.2m (US$260,000/€242,000) for 2002, against a pre-tax loss of SKr2.9m (US$342,000/€319,000) for 2001.

Turnover at Kopparbergs rose by 35.6% to SKr595.5m (US$70.3m/€65.4m). During 2002, Kopparbergs undertook two share issues with a total value of SKr22m (US$2.6m/€2.4m).

The company said its 2002 results had been adversely affected by one-time costs of SKr4.9m (US$578,000/€538,000) in relation to its acquisition of rival brewer, Banco Bryggeri AB, and by additional costs off SKr2.0m (US$236,000/€220,000).
