Sovereign Brands is to launch a Bumbu rum cream liqueur in the UK.

The US wine & spirits company said last week Bumbu Cream will be available at UK on- and off-premise sites from the end of April for GBP35 (US$48) per 70cl bottle. The 15%-abv liqueur, which first rolled out in the US in February, is a blend of Sovereign’s Bumbu rum, spices and dairy cream. 

In the US, Bumbu Cream is available across a number of US states at an SRP of US$34.99 per 75cl bottle. The rum is also being rolled out across international markets including France and Germany.

The Bumbu brand name comes from an old nautical term to describe rum mixed with Caribbean fruits and spices. The new iteration joins the 35%-abv Bumbu Original as well as a 40%-abv Bumbu XO rum, which was released in 2019.
