Three Ships has announced that it will begin selling South Africa’s first single malt whisky. Known as Three Ships 10-year-Old Single Malt Whisky, the spirit will be available by the end of November.

The whisky will be produced at the James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington and was crafted from a three-year-old that showed exceptional promise in the distillery. “For the past seven years we have been developing it to its full potential,” said master distiller Andy Watts.

It is expected to retail at about R100 (US$14.56) per bottle.
