Baltika has today posted a drop in both net sales and net profit. The brewer saw its nine month net sales fall by 1% to US$555m as net profit also dropped, by 11% to US$111.05m from US$114.88m year-on-year. Total sales increased, however, by 1% to US$725m.

The company, owned by Carlsberg and Scottish & Newcastle, has complained bitterly about an increase this year in beer excises.
