Diageo will be trialling a new range of low-alcohol sparkling wine-based drinks exclusively in Asda stores from next week. Archer’s Eden (5.0% abv / 70.0cl) is a blend of fruit schnapps and wine with two variants, Berry Rose and Citrus White.
Bacardi-Martini has introduced a second Bacardi Breezer Diet variant, Orange & Vanilla, which is available in both 27.5cl and 70.0cl offerings. With over 120 variants in the RTD category now available in multi-serve it is not surprising to see the company’s Diet Lemon variant also recently become available in the 70.0cl format. Further diet variants from other producers are currently in the pipeline.
Beverage Brands have taken the multi-serve concept a step further by introducing a 5-litre party pack keg for its WKD Blue brand. The keg, which contains just over the equivalent of 18 bottles retails at £18.49. The company has also become the last of the main RTD producers to reduce the alcoholic content of its brand to the ‘industry norm’ of 5.0%.
Manchester based LWC Drinks is launching 1 litre bottle sizes for its Moonshine and VHF brands. The Moonshine variants will be available in Somerfield and Kwiksave stores.
Halewood International has introduced a new Red Square citrus flavoured variant containing vodka and lager. It is being launched in the off-trade exclusively in Sainsburys in both 27.5cl and 70.0cl packaging.
