Yesterday, just-drinks bought you part one of our preview for wine and spirit trade show ProWein. Here's today's focus on exhibitors at the three-day show:
- Trade body Wine Australia (Hall 9, G04) is promising its largest ever presence at the event. Thirty-nine producers from 30 of the country's regions will be exhibiting. In addition, a master class will be held by expert Mark Davidson, on Sunday at 2pm in Hall 13 under the title ‘History, Evolution, Revolution’. A 30-minute featured tasting will also be held each day of the show with food and wine matched to respective topics.
- Wines of South Africa (Hall9, B28,38, 48) is also sending its “biggest ever contingent” to Dusseldorf. Around 1,000 wines will be on offer from across a spectrum of multi-brand owners, co-operatives and independent winemakers. The group will also host a 'World of Discovery' tasting zone at Hall 9, B48, for a more relaxed tasting experience. WoSA will also be linking up with with Wines of Argentina and Wines of Chile under its 'Beautiful South' banner for two seminars being hosted by writers Peter Richards and Tim Atkin.
- Meanwhile, South African producer Cloof Wine Estates, will be unveiling a new look for its portfolio. The move is a bid to strengthen the “image of quality”. The company will also be showcasing its latest vintages.
