The Polish soft drinks company, Hoop, has posted a 6.2% rise in revenues for the second quarter of 2003. The company, soon to launch an IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, recorded sales revenues of PLN 123.45m for the second quarter.

Sales for the first six months were up by 0.3% at PLN179.70m. Hoop said that changes in accounting for expenses had meant that the figures were not directly comparable. Without the changes, revenues would be PLN126.6m for the second quarter and PLN184m for the first half, the company said.

Hoop is now the second largest producer of carbonated soft drinks in Poland, with a share of around 12.5%, having been the third-ranked producer at this point last year.
