The Polish soft drinks producer, Hoop SA, registered a first-quarter net profit of PLN4.1m (US$1.1m/€935,100), up from PLN3.6m (US$942,000/€821,000) in the first three months of 2002.
Turnover rose to PLN189.1m (US$49.5m/€43.1m) from PLN183.3m (US$48m/€41.8m) in the corresponding quarter last year, but operating profit fell from PLN14.9m (US$3.9m/€3.4m) to PLN11.9m (US$3.1m/€2.7m).
