The Polish soft drinks company, Hoop, posted a net profit of PLN21.9m (US$5.7m/€5.3m) for 2002, up 71.1% from PLN12.8m (US$3.3m/€3.1m) in 2001. Sales rose from PLN330.8m (US$85.7m/€79.9m) to PLN349.9m (US$90.7m/€84.5m).

However, the 2002 net profit was below the company ‘s previous estimate of PLN24m (US$6.2m/€5.8m), though sales came in above the forecast of PLN328.6m (US$85.1m/€79.4m).
