The unit delivered sales of CHF5.69bn (US$5.98bn) in the nine-months to the end of September, compared to CHF5.7bn the prior year. On an organic basis however the company said water sales rose by 5.1%.
In North America, Nestle said its spring water brands, Ozarka and Deer Park, performed “well”, without giving further detail.
In Europe, the UK, France and Belgium were described as “highlights”, despite a cool summer.
In emerging markets, the unit saw double-digit growth with “strong” performances from local brands, especially in Turkey, China, Brazil and Egypt.
