Sales in final quarter up 19.1% to US$1.43bnTop-line maintains year-to-date momentum - nine-month sales rose 21%Full-year sales come in 20.5% up at $5.54bn Monster Beverage Corp has reported a record fourth quarter - as well as full-year sales passing US$5.5bn for the first time - despite increased operational, supply chain and commodity costs in the period. The California-headquartered group said this week that sales in the three months to the end of December remained in line with the healthy showing earlier in the year - a 19% quarterly top-line lift contributed to 2021's +20.5% sales performance for the energy drinks company. Indeed, so strong were sales that the company, which is part-owned by The Coca-Cola Co, "was not able to fully satisfy increased demand for its products in a number of markets" in the final quarter. However, Monster highlighted "certain challenges" during the three months, including rising costs of aluminium, labour, shipping and fuel. Despite these issues, the Monster energy stable, which includes the namesake brand as well as Reign Total Body Fuel, True North and the Pure Energy Seltzer range, grew their combined sales by 20.7% to US$1.35bn. Outside of the US, sales jumped 32% to $508.1m. !function(){"use strict";window.addEventListener("message",(function(e){if(void 0!==e.data["datawrapper-height"]){var t=document.querySelectorAll("iframe");for(var a in e.data["datawrapper-height"])for(var r=0;r
