The Turkish brewing concern, Anadolu Efes Beverages Group, has acquired Vitanta-Intravest, Moldova’s leading brewer, for $12m.
A spokesperson for Anadolu Efes said that the company had acquired 96.5% in Vitanta-Intravest, which controls around 70% of the Moldovan beer market, for $12m. The rest of the shares remain in the hands of individual investors.

Efes is planning to invest $7m to $10m in upgrading the company between now and 2005.
