“In Ardbeg Drum, a multitude of complex flavours parade across the palate – fragrant pine resin and woodsmoke dance alongside ripe banana and pineapple,” said distillery manager Mickey Heads. “Then lavender, liquorice and vanilla strut into a long, smoky finish.”

Ardbeg Day is traditionally held on the last Saturday of Islay’s ‘Festival of Music & Malt’, known locally as Feis Ile.

Earlier this month, Moet Hennessy’s parent company, LVMH, was linked with Diageo for a speculative move to acquire Pernod Ricard.
