MEXICO: Tequila exports rise
Exports of Mexico's national spirit, Tequila, rose by 17.3% in the first two months of 2002 in spite of a fall in production in the same period. According to figures released by the regulatory body for Tequila production, exports in January-February stood at 12.2m litres against 10.4m litres in the same period in 2001. Output in the first two months fell by 6.22% from 25.7m litres to 24.1m litres.
