LATVIA: A Le coq ups stake in Latvian brewery to 90%
The Estonian subsidiary of Finland's Olvi Oyj, A. le Coq, has acquired an additional 30.36% stake in the Latvian brewery Cesu Alus. According to local press reports the deal cost €3.7m and increases its overall stake in the company to 90.87%. Net sales of Cesu Alus were €2.7m in 2001, and its stake in the Latvian beer market was 7.2% in the first quarter of 2002.
