Yesterday, the French National Assembly voted in favour of increasing excise on beer sold in the country. Below, courtesy of The Brewers of Europe, we list the rates of tax increases that will go before the country’s Senate next week.

  • For all beers with an abv equal to, or less than, 2.8%, regardless of size of brewery: From EUR1.38 per degree of alcohol to EUR3.60 – a rise of 160%
