Coming up at this year’s ProWein exhibition in Düsseldorf:
- Wines of South Africa (Stand B14, B18 and D14, Hall) will introduce “value” tasting tables at this year’s ProWein, as it invites visitors to explore the country’s full spectrum of producers. The two tables, new for 2014, will sit alongside other themed tasting areas that will feature single varietals and blends in the morning and regions in the afternoon
- Wines of South Africa will also work with Wines of Chile and Wines of Argentina, under the banner of Wines of the Beautiful South, to present a series of seminars on wines from the three countries. The three trade bodies held a joint tasting in London last year
- Champagne Drappier (Stand F136, Hall 1) has claimed it will be the only Champagne house at ProWein to offer 11 different bottle sizes. The range will include Drappier’s Carte D’or Brut in an 18-litre “Salmon” bottle, the company has said.
