Pernod-Ricard subsidiary, Pernod, plans to concentrate all the production of its Pastis 51 brand and aniseed-flavoured drinks at its Marseilles plant.

Some production currently takes place in the Paris region. The move, scheduled for June this year, will see a doubling of capacity at the Marseilles plant to 22 million litres. Five million euros is being invested in the extension of the plant which includes the introduction of two new bottling lines.

The plant’s workforce is set to rise from 40 to 80 staff.

Separately, Pernod is finalising the closure of its HQ at Creteil in the Paris suburbs which also serves as a production site and logistics hub. Its activities are being transferred to the company’s Marseilles and Perpignan plants.
