The Champagne houses, Vranken-Pommery and LVMH-owned Moet et Chandon have submitted bids for the Bricout champagne company, owned by the Martin group, according to the CGT union official, Bernard Beaulieu.

The Martin group went into receivership in April and, according to Beaulieu, the receiver has told employees that it will choose between the bids on July 30. The US company, Knights Bridge Finewines, has also submitted a bid, Beaulieu was reported as saying.
