UK distiller Eden Mill will be the official spirit of British tennis under a four-year agreement with governing body The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). During the four-year partnership, announced this week, Eden Mill's namesake gin and single malt Scotch whisky will be used at four international grass-court tennis events taking place in the UK this year. Across the month of June, tournaments will be held in Nottingham and Birmingham as well as at the pre-Wimbledon championships in Eastbourne and The Queen’s Club in London. Financial details behind the arrangement were not disclosed. To mark the news, Eden Mill has released a limited edition gin called ‘Wildcard’. The expression, which is infused with strawberries and raspberries, will be available from this month at an SRP of GBP35 (US$45) per bottle. Earlier this year, private equity group Inverleith acquired majority control of Eden Mill, lining up funding for a new distillery for the company near St Andrews in Scotland.
