Diageo has lined up the release of another single malt Scotch whisky from its The Singleton brand.
The Singleton 39-Year-Old consists of a 12-Year-Old Singleton expression that spent a further 27 years maturing in a combination of ex-Port, red wine, Pedro Ximénez & Oloroso Sherry casks. The iteration was then finished for an unspecified period in former French Bordeaux barrels.
The single malt, which is limited to 1,695 bottles globally, will be available in the coming months from selected off-premise spirits specialists and online whisky e-tailer Malts.com.
The 39-Year-Old comes six months after the release of The Singleton Paragon of Time 54-Year-Old, the oldest single malt in Diageo’s portfolio.
