Diageo has released the second in a series of special edition Johnnie Walker Blue Label whiskies. Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen follows the release of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora last year.

The products contain 'ghost' or rare whiskies, with the latest launch featuring Islay single malt Port Ellen - a 'ghost' distillery that shut its doors in 1983.

"It's really interesting to be able to put a spotlight on the character of these whiskies," said master blender Jim Beveridge.

Last October, Diageo announced a near-US$50m investment in reopening both Brora, on the north-east coast of Scotland, and Port Ellen. The distilleries are expected to be back online by 2020.
