The Danish spirits company, De Danske Spritfabrikker, which was acquired by the Swedish spirits group, Vin & Sprit in 2000, has reported profit on ordinary activities for 2002 of DKr88.3m (US$12.7m/€11.9m), up 15.6% from DKr76.4m (US$11m/€10.3m) in 2001.

Turnover at the company, which produces the Aalborg, Gammel Dansk, Danzka vodka and Heering cherry liqueur brands, rose by 15.8% from DKr916m (US$131.3m/€123.5m) to DKr1.061 billion (US$152.1m/€143m).
