However, Mario Castano, a member of the board of directors at Bavaria’s union, Sinaltrabavaria, said none of the 1,350 union members had signed the pact, calling the agreement illegal. He said many of the signatories to the new pact are temporary workers who have no right to take part in the process.
COLOMBIA: Bavaria seeks approval for wage deal
The Colombian brewing group, Bavaria SA, is seeking official approval from the country's Labour Ministry for the two-year collective wage deal it has just agreed with its workers. The brewer announced yesterday that it had struck a deal with 73% of its workforce.
