CHILE: Export volumes up but value down in Q1
Chile increased its exports of wine during the first quarter of 2002 by 15.8% in volume, compared to the same period last year. However, worryingly value declined 0.19%, according to an industry report released Tuesday. During the period Chile exported 75.4m litres of wine, including sparkling wines, valued at US$125.5m, according to the Vineyards of Chile association report.
